Dr. Megan was born and raised in Dartmouth and is very excited to be returning to her hometown to practice. Her love of dentistry actually started in this clinic when her dentist Dr. Paul Downing, encouraged her to consider joining the profession while she was attending university. She went on to complete her BSc on the Deans list with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Following her undergraduate degree, she studied Dentistry at Dalhousie University graduating with her Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2016. It has always been her dream to come back to Woodlawn Dental Centre to practice!
Dr. Megan is dedicated to providing comprehensive general dentistry and high-quality patient care. With her easygoing demeanor, unparalleled patience and endless kindness, she loves helping her patients see that a visit to the dentist doesn’t have to be scary. As dentistry evolves, she continuously engages in ongoing dental education to further increase her knowledge and practical skills for the benefits of those she treats. She is a strong believer in preventative dentistry and is committed to helping her patients maintain their smiles throughout their lifetimes.
She is a member of the Canadian Dental Association and the Nova Scotia Dental Association. She is also certified in Basic Life Support.
When she isn’t at the clinic Dr. Megan enjoys travelling, spending time with her lovely neighbour (who also happens to be her mom!) and spoiling her adorable fur baby Kallie, the senior cat she adopted in 2022.
